This delicious oriental recipe is easy to make and perfect when served with our Peanut Rice recipe. Top off the menu with an Oriental Salad and you’re all set to feed a large, hungry crowd!
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs chicken thighs (or other pcs)
(bone in or boneless – we prefer bone-in, for more flavor)
salt and fresh ground pepper
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
3 tbs olive oil
1/2 cup fresh ginger, grated
3 tbs fish sauce
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
garnish w/sliced green onions
PEANUT RICE INGREDIENTS:
2-1/2 cups long grain and wild rice
4-1/2 cups chicken broth
5 tbs butter
1-1/4 cups peanuts, chopped fine
(roasted, unsalted)
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
