Who says spring roll ingredients have to have an Asian flavor? While we do love the flavors traditionally associated with spring rolls, we also like to kick it up a bit with some Cajun spices! This recipe can take on another flavor in seconds simply by substituting Italian sausage, mozzarella cheese, and mixing in a little of your favorite pasta sauce!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb Cajun spicy sausage, ground
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped fine
1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup cabbage, chopped small
1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
2 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 Tbs garlic, chopped fine
1 cup Monterey Jack/Cheddar, shredded
1 cup fresh Parmesan, grated fine
1 pkg roll wrappers – large 7 in. sq.
1 egg yolk w/1 tsp water, beaten
1 jar sweet & sour sauce
