Campfire Cafe® is a nationally broadcast television show created originally to demonstrate and teach open-fire cooking techniques. The program aired for 9 seasons on RFD-TV and now airs weekly on the In Country Television network (DISH Channel 230; DirecTV channel 344).

Recipes for the show are always selected or created and tested by me, and I am the sole author of our "Over The Open Fire" cookbook (although credit was shared with a previous host out of courtesy). Co-host Larry Wiseheart and I cook anything and everything over the open fire - but all the recipes can just as easily be cooked in the kitchen or on a gas grill. Husband and co-producer Bob Alford has the assistance of other cameramen during production, and we thank Bill, Robert, Pouyan, Gary, Hugh for their contributions over the years. Mary Monahan keeps it all running smoothly and answers your technical questions regarding our website.

By 2007, demanding production schedules and the high cost of television airtime prompted us to focus totally on Internet broadcast. In 2009 we were approached by a relatively new network, In Country, and were asked to join their exciting new line up of country-lifestyle related programming, so we're back on the air in 2010. In addition, we've added a new video sharing site so you can upload and share videos of recipes cooked at your own Campfire Cafe! Share videos of outdoor cooking from your own camping, boating, fishing, trailriding, or sporting activities.

In the coming months, we'll be producing new shows for broadcast on In Country Television with a focus on gas grill cooking. We have cooked just about everything one can imagine over the open fire, but we're often asked how to cook the same recipes on a gas or charcoal grill. Since I rarely use my indoor range, and cook everything either over the fire or on one of several gas grills we own, I thought it might be fun to show you what you can do outdoors on your own grill. So stay tuned and thanks to all our supporters. We hope you will keep watching as we keep cooking!
